Bret Michaels Back in Hospital: He is a Rocker Who Suffers ‘Warning Stroke’

Bret Michaels Back in Hospital? Yes, read the story below. According to doctors, an Ultrasound Bubble test of Michaels' heart was then done, and they found a hole in his heart described as a Patent Forum Ovale. Wow! It’s surprising new for his fans, sometimes It’s hard to believe isn’t? It was only a couple of days ago that Bret Michaels’ fans were watching him chat to talk show legend Oprah Winfrey about his recovery from the massive brain hemorrhage he suffered. But now the news has reached us that the rocker is unfortunately back in hospital.
The new health woes come just days before Bret was to make an appearance at Sunday's live finale of 'Celebrity Apprentice,' where he's in one of the final two competitors vying for the show's title.
Bret’s physician, Joseph Zabramski, said that the hole in the heart diagnosis was “devastating news to Bret and his family.” He also said: “The good news is that it is operable and treatable, and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the transient ischemic attack.”

Michaels' neurosurgeon, Dr. Joseph Zabramski, said, "There is no doubt that the positive Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) is devastating news to Bret and his family. The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attach (TIA) or warning stroke."
Zabramski says that he's well aware Michaels planned on attending the New York City finale and even getting back on the road to play concerts in the near future, but now adds: "Bret's brain and body are not quite 100 percent yet, especially with the hole found in his heart. Further tests will be conducted throughout the week and I will have more information next week as to how this Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) will be treated. For now, Bret will be treated with outpatient care which includes a daily injection of Lovenox (a blood thinner to reduce the chance of blood clots) and blood tests.
Hopefully the information about Bret Michaels so far so good and applicable, thanks for stopping by.

Kimberly Munley Wounded But Hailed as Hero Today

Kimberly Munley is the civilian police officer who arriving first on the scene of the Foort Hood shootings. Based today report she shot Malik Nadal 4 times and now Kimberly Munley is being hailed as a hero. The base's top commander, Lieutenant General Bob Cone, credited her with stopping the shooting rampage that killed 13 people despite being wounded herself. Cone added that Munley and her partner responded within three minutes of reported gunfire on Thursday afternoon.

Kimberly Munley had been directing traffic moments before she confronted the gunman. Base officials lauded an officer, Kimberly Munley, who shot the gunman and was wounded herself.
"She happened to encounter the gunman. In an exchange of gunfire, she was wounded but managed to wound him four times," Cone said. "It was an amazing and aggressive performance by this police officer."
Kimberly Munley responded to reports of gunfire in the area with her partner. She rushed inside a building, saw Hasan rounding a corner. She was standing only "a few feet" from Hasan. She opened fire and took him down. Hasan fired on her and wounded her.

Thursday evening from the hospital, Munley was able to make phone calls.

Lt. General Robert Cone praised Sgt. Kimberly Munley's rapid response:
"It was an amazing and an aggressive performance by this police officer," Cone said.
Cone said Munley's aggressive response training taught her that "if you act aggressively to take out a shooter you will have less fatalities."
"She walked up and engaged him," he said. He praised her as "one of our most impressive young police officers."

The short background on Nadal Malik Hasan is that he is in the hospital on a ventilator and unconscience. He is a devout American-born Muslim. His name is his birth name. He is a Major in the U.S. Army and a psychiatrist who spent numerous years treating wounded troops at Walter Reed Army hospital in Washington, D.C. where he received a poor performance review from his commanding officer. He was transferred to Ft. Hood in June 2009.

Hasan has never served overseas but was due to deploy to Iraq in late November. The Major made many comments about the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, and some who knew him and work with him said he was against the wars, and said Muslims should stand up against the "aggressors," meaning allied forces. He was under investigation by the Army at the time of the shootings.

Malik Nadal Hasan Identified as Killer

The shooter responsible for 11 deaths and at least 31 injuries has been identified as Malik Nadal Hasan, according to World News with Charles Gibson. Malik Nadal Hasan was an Army Major, a doctor at Fort Hood, one doctor among many who gave medical evaluation to soldiers who were soon to be deployed to Iraq.

It was first believed that there could be as many as three shooters involved in the Fort Hood tragedy. Malik Nadal Hasan, who was shot and killed and two other soldiers who were in custody. The two in custody have now been released. It is believed that Malik Nadal Hasan was the only one involved in the Fort Hood shootings.

Motive as to why the newly promoted Army Major Malik Nadal Hasan would open fire at Fort Hood is unclear at this time. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson reported to 'Fox News' that Malik Nadal Hasan was to be deployed to Iraq in the near future and he did not want to go. There was speculation that Malik Nadal Hasan may have been of Muslim faith, but it has been confirmed that Malik Nadal Hasan was a native of Jordan, therefore unlikely a convert.

Lazio President Piero Marazzo Resign

Is it true Lazio President Piero Marrazzo resign? What’s the reason? Before I answer this question, it think it’s a good idea if I write a short description about Piero Marazzo, Here we go. Piero Marazzo is the son of Giuseppe Marrazzo (a field journalist noted for his investigations on mafia) and Italian-American Luigia Spina, Piero Marrazzo (born in Rome on July 29, 1958) served as the President of Lazio, one of the twenty regions of Italy, from 2005 to 2009.

Piero Marrazzo was a political activist during his youth, leading towards reformist socialism, and obtained a degree in jurisprudence. He went on to become a prominent TV journalist, working for twenty years for RAI, on programmes such as TG2 and TG3, heading the Tuscany journalistic department of RAI, working with Giovanni Minoli (on programmes such as "Cronaca in Diretta", "Drugstories", and "Format"), and finally becoming the anchorman for eight consecutive years of "Mi Manda Rai Tre", for which he is most remembered. In November 2004 he left his job to run for presidency of Lazio as the candidate of centre-left coalition L'Unione; he won the April 2005 regional elections attracting 50.7% of votes.

A prominent opposition politician embroiled in a scandal over his alleged encounter with a transsexual prostitute resigned his high-profile job on Tuesday as head of the region that includes Rome. Piero Marrazzo has said he made mistakes and that he had been living a "nightmare" since the encounter in July in a Rome apartment. Four policemen have been arrested for allegedly attempting to blackmail the 51-year-old Marrazzo, who is married and has three daughters.

"My personal condition of extreme suffering makes my stay at the helm of the region not longer useful for the Lazio citizens," Marrazzo said in a statement announcing his resignation. He said the resignation was "final and irrevocable". He also maintained that he had always acted for the good of his citizens, "whatever personal mistakes I may have committed in my private life".

In previous statements, he had admitted to "weaknesses". Marrazzo had already handed over his responsibilities to his deputy last weekend, after the scandal broke. Media reports say there is a video evidence, though the video has not been publicly seen. You may search on search engine if there was, Marrazzo said he wrote three cheques to the alleged blackmailers, although they weren't cashed. He said he did not go to the police out of fear and shame.

The scandal was the latest blow to the already weak Democratic Party, the main opposition force to Premier Silvio Berlusconi's conservatives. Marrazzo has suspended his membership in the party, but the scandal has overshadowed the election of a new party leader in a primary vote this weekend. Media reports said Tuesday that Marrazzo, seeking to drop out of the public eye, wanted to spend some time at a Benedictine monastery or some other religious institute near the capital. His whereabouts were not made public. I hope you may get calm and rest from your trouble or scandal you had made.

Brooke Hundley and Steve Philips Affair

Brooke Hundley, Brooke Hundley and Brook Hundley plus Steve Philips. Yups, that names are very familiar lately. Whats going on? Just kidding. You already know isn’t?. But I want to write about Brooke Hundley, but let’s started with Steve Philips.

Steve Phillips has lost his job as ESPN has said that he is not competent for the high profile job at the ESPN. He was a senior analyst at the ESPN and reportedly drew a very high salary from the broadcaster.
From the latest news I read, Steve Philips is reportedly going to spend some time at a rehabilitation center following the reports started making headlines about his wayward life.

His relationship with Brook Hundley seems to have given a big blow to former Mets general manager’s professional and personal life. His wife has separated and there is a real danger that he may lose the custody of his kids. Phillips has apologized for his wayward behavior to his coworkers and his family. But he should apologize more to his wife who has suffered tremendously from his long term sexual relationship with Brook Hundley.

Below is Broke Hundley photo info, check it out.

Who is Brooke Hundley? Brooke Hundley is the 22-year-old ESPN production assistant who had a sexual relationship with ESPN analyst Steve Phillips and then sent Phillips' wife a letter detailing their relationship. She's young, ambitious and eager to please. She is a 2008 graduate of Ithaca College - but her resume already includes stops at HBO, ABC, NBC Sports and the 24-hour sports network.

"Networking is not sucking up," Hundley wrote two years ago to her dean at Ithaca's Park School of Communications. "You never know who you will need help from further down the road ... so be nice, and get to know everybody." The 22-year-old's resume cites a variety of job skills, from sports media to breaking news. But Hundley found herself in the headlines over an alleged affair with Phillips, an ESPN baseball analyst. She reportedly blabbed about the affair to Phillips' wife, Marni, in a letter and may have contacted one of the couple's young sons. Phillips, 46, has been suspended by ESPN for a week and Marni has filed for divorce. Despite the sudden and unwanted attention, Hundley's MySpace page listed her mood Wednesday as "hopeful."

She is make me very Curious Who is the woman at the center of the latest media sex scandal? Her Facebook page reveals that she is a 2008 graduate of Ithaca College. Her LinkedIn page says she interned for Warner Brothers and ABC Studios and worked on the Olympics for NBC Sports before joining ESPN, and describes her experience as follows:
Media professional experienced in television production with broad knowledge and experience in live events, scripted shows, comedy, sports, documentaries and online content. Extensive knowledge in new and emerging technologies especially in social networks, and their successful integration into broadcast as well as complementary roles to existing programs to increase viewership.

When you look at the picture above, what do you think about them? are they harmonious or sucks what? Well that's all, see you in the next post on Hot News Today blog!

'Moon rock' in Dutch museum is just petrified wood

By TOBY STERLING, Associated Press Writer

The Dutch national museum said Thursday that one of its prized possessions, a rock supposedly brought back from the moon by U.S. astronauts, is just a piece of petrified wood.

Rijksmuseum spokeswoman Xandra van Gelder, who oversaw the investigation that proved the piece was a fake, said the museum will keep it anyway as a curiosity.

"It's a good story, with some questions that are still unanswered," she said. "We can laugh about it."

The museum acquired the rock after the death of former Prime Minister Willem Drees in 1988. Drees received it as a private gift on Oct. 9, 1969 from then-U.S. ambassador J. William Middendorf during a visit by the three Apollo 11 astronauts, part of their "Giant Leap" goodwill tour after the first moon landing.

Middendorf, who lives in Rhode Island, told Dutch broadcaster NOS news that he had gotten it from the U.S. State Department, but couldn't recall the exact details.

"I do remember that (Drees) was very interested in the little piece of stone," the NOS quoted Middendorf as saying. "But that it's not real, I don't know anything about that."

He could not immediately be reached for comment Thursday.

The U.S. Embassy in the Hague said it was investigating the matter.

The museum had vetted the moon rock with a phone call to NASA, Van Gelder said.

She said the space agency told the museum then that it was possible the Netherlands had received a rock: NASA gave moon rocks to more than 100 countries in the early 1970s, but those were from later missions.

"Apparently no one thought to doubt it, since it came from the prime minister's collection," Van Gelder said.

The rock is not usually on display; the museum is primarily known for its paintings and other works of fine art by masters such as Rembrandt.

A jagged fist-size stone with reddish tints, it was mounted and placed above a plaque that said, "With the compliments of the Ambassador of the United States of America ... to commemorate the visit to The Netherlands of the Apollo-11 astronauts." The plaque does not specify that the rock came from the moon's surface

It was given at the opening of an exhibition on space exploration.

It was on show in 2006 and a space expert informed the museum it was unlikely NASA would have given away any moon rocks three months after Apollo returned to Earth.

Researchers from Amsterdam's Free University said they could see at a glance the rock was probably not from the moon. They followed the initial appraisal up with extensive testing.

"It's a nondescript, pretty-much-worthless stone," Geologist Frank Beunk concluded in an article published by the museum.

He said the rock, which the museum at one point insured for more than half a million dollars, was worth no more than euro50 ($70).

Van Gelder said one important unanswered question is why Drees was given the stone. He was 83 years old in 1969 and had been out of office for 11 years. On the other hand, he was the country's elder statesman, the prime minister who helped the Netherlands rebuild after World War II.

Middendorf was treasurer of the Republic National Committee from 1965 until 1969, when President Richard Nixon dispatched him to the Netherlands.

China denounces proposed Dalai Lama visit to Taiwan

TAIPEI/BEIJING (Reuters) – China promptly denounced a proposed trip to Taiwan by the Dalai Lama on Thursday, saying any such visit by a man Beijing brands a separatist threatened to "sabotage" improving relations.

Taiwan, a self-ruled island claimed by Beijing, approved the visit by the Nobel Peace laureate to comfort victims of a deadly typhoon at a time of burgeoning trade and investment between the rivals.

"No matter under what form or identity Dalai uses to enter Taiwan, we resolutely oppose this," China's Taiwan Affairs Bureau said in a statement carried by Xinhua news agency.

"Some of the people in the Democratic Progressive Party use the disaster rescue excuse to invite Dalai to Taiwan to sabotage the hard-earned positive situation of cross-straits relations."

Beijing brands the India-based Tibetan luminary as a separatist and condemns his trips abroad.

An aide to the Dalai Lama in the Indian town of Dharamsala said the spiritual leader had been keen to visit Taiwan.

"As of now, we are planning a visit to Taiwan and the dates are still being worked out," Tenzin Taklha said. "We want to make it very clear that the Dalai Lama is visiting Taiwan to express condolences to victims and lead prayers."

China is considered unlikely to retaliate by choking off growing economic ties between the long-time political rivals.

By blaming the opposition DPP and not Taiwan President Ma Ying-jeou or the ruling Nationalist Party (KMT), Beijing may have indicated it does not wish to escalate the issue.

"Beijing will be a little uncomfortable, but if they understand how severe the disaster is they will show some respect to Taiwan's people," KMT Secretary-General Wu Den-yih said.

About 650 people are feared dead after Typhoon Morakot, the island's worst typhoon in 50 years, soaked Taiwan from August 7-9.

China has claimed sovereignty over Taiwan since 1949, when Mao Zedong's forces won the Chinese civil war and Chiang Kai-shek's KMT fled to the island. Beijing has vowed to bring Taiwan under its rule, by force if necessary.

But Beijing is also aware any strong moves against the Dalai Lama could play into the hands of Taiwanese opponents of President Ma, who has sought to ease tensions with Beijing.

RESTORING IMAGE

The Taiwan president's office, under fire for perceptions the response to Typhoon Morakot was too slow, and national security officials met for five hours late on Wednesday and decided to permit a visit, the Government Information Office said.

Admitting the Dalai Lama lets Ma give the impression that Ma is not driven solely concerned with ties with Beijing, said Hsu Yung-ming, a political science professor at Soochow University.

"He doesn't want people to think he cares only about China, that he also cares about Taiwan," Hsu said.

Taiwan, home to a large exiled Tibetan community and millions of Buddhists, allowed visits by the Dalai Lama in 1997 and 2001.

Ma last year quashed hopes for a new visit by the Tibetan spiritual leader, saying the timing was wrong. Taiwan Buddhist groups criticized that decision.

Since taking office in 2008, Ma's administration has avoided action that could anger Beijing as he pursues trade ties.

"We've ... decided to let the Dalai Lama visit as he is coming here to pray for the dead victims, as well as the survivors," Ma told reporters while visiting typhoon survivors.

The Dalai Lama fled Tibet in 1959 after a failed uprising against Chinese rule over Tibet.

The Case of Jaycee Lee Dugard

According to Charleyproject.org:
charleyproject.org/cases/d/dugard_jaycee.html

Click the link, and the read the case in its entirety. I would have posted the case summary here, but the administrator of Charleyproject.org placed copy-and-paste protection on all of her filed. Needless to say, her case was loaded with twists and turns long before the events of yesterday.

Two suspects, James Anthony Daveggio and Michelle Lyn Michaud, are supsected in the disappearances of Amber Jean Swartz-Garcia (charleyproject.org/cases/s/swartzgarcia_amber.html), Micheala Joy Garecht (charleyproject.org/cases/g/garecht_michaela.html), and Ilene Beth Mishelhoff (charleyproject.org/cases/m/misheloff_ilene.html). However, an FBI-generated timelien of their whereabouts in the 1980's and 1990's made their involvement unlikely. On the other hand, if they are indeed the suspects in Dugard's case, I hope it brings resolution in the cases of Swartz-Garcia, Garect, and Mishelhoff.

I guess this goes to show that maintaining even the faintest glimmer of hope when your loved one goes missing, no matter how long they're missing for, isn't false hope. Anything can happen.

The new ABC TV Show Crash Course premieres tonight with Orlando Jones and Dan Cortese. Crash Course on ABC is described as a “New Automotive Competition Reality Show Featuring Challenging Driving Courses Never Before Seen on Television”.

Exciting description …. but was the premiere as exciting?

ABC says the show is from the producers of Hell’s Kitchen:

This summer ABC fulfills your need for speed and laughs by putting you in the driver’s seat of “Crash Course,” a one of a kind automotive competition reality series produced by A. Smith & Co. Productions, the producers of “I Survived a Japanese Game Show” and “Hell’s Kitchen.” Hosts are Orlando Jones (”Drumline,” “Biker Boyz”) and Dan Cortese (”The Superstars” “Surviving Suburbia”). Production was shot in the automobile capitol of the world, Detroit, Michigan. The program airs Wednesday nights from 9:00-10:00 p.m., ET on the ABC Television , starting AUGUST 26.

Imagine racing fast and furious in the ultimate driving course. Now imagine it with your significant other or mother right beside you giving you directions, all the while seeing flaming ramps up ahead. “Crash Course” will not only put the couples’ navigating skills to the test, but will test drive their relationships and patience, as teams work together and summon their greatest driving skills to make it across the finish line. The contestants will be everyday people from all walks of life who have a pre-existing relationship (father and daughter, boyfriend and girlfriend, best friends, etc).

The five teams will be reduced to a final prize of $50,000.

Each week, five teams of two will compete against each other, being eliminated one by one as they battle through several challenges before facing the final “Crash Course” at the end of each episode — the ultimate gravity and logic defying driving test — for a chance to win the ultimate prize of $50,000.

Teams will be tested individually as well as in group races by such competitions as car bowling, backward drag racing — with a boat in tow — and parallel parking the most challenging vehicle ever (as in tank, fire truck, bus). Driving on the road of life is not about the destination but the journey, and for these contestants it’ll be a hilarious, nerve wracking and emotional lap to victory. Whether it’s driving on an exploding slalom course or bursting through garage doors with no idea what lies on the other side, contestants will have to face speed bumps, falling objects and all manner of extreme driving conditions to conquer the “Crash Course.”

The executive producers are Arthur Smith and Kent Weed for A. Smith & Co. Productions (”I Survived a Japanese Game Show,” “Hell’s Kitchen”), Rick Hurvitz and Bruce Beresford-Redman for Mindcrime.

Catch it tonight on ABC.

The Woman Behind Ted Kennedy

by Mike Krumboltz

Sen. Ted Kennedy's death inspired tremendous search interest in his triumphs, tragedies, and famous family. Some of the most popular lookups are on the late Senator's companions, first wife Joan Kennedy, and second wife Vicki.

Joan Kennedy was married to Ted for 24 years and played an incredibly important role in her husband's career. A popular article from the USA Today explains that Joan stood by her husband through thick and thin, sometimes at a "great personal cost."

During their marriage, Joan supported her husband through the deaths of his brothers and during the infamous Chappaquiddick incident. She also publicly suffered multiple miscarriages and battles with alcoholism. Following her ex-husband's death, lookups spiked on "joan kennedy children" and "joan kennedy alcoholism."

Also, surging were queries on "joan kennedy young" and "joan kennedy pictures." Joan was a model before marrying into the Kennedy clan, and President John F. Kennedy famously referred to her as "the dish." She was recently seen at Eunice Shriver's memorial, just a few weeks ago.

Sen. Kennedy and his first wife split in 1983, and he went on to marry Victoria some years later. The two wives were notably different. Victoria, or "Vicki," was raised in a political family of her own, so she knew what it was like to be in the public eye. Her father served as a judge in Louisiana, and had strong connections to the Kennedy family, even before his daughter married into it.

Some are wondering if Vicki Kennedy will be the one to take her late husband's seat in the Senate. The late "Lion of the Senate" was said to endorse her for the position. Queries on "vicki kennedy for senate" certainly suggest that there is no small amount of interest. When asked about the possibilities of filling the seat in an interim basis, Mrs. Kennedy reportedly said she has no interest. Still, according to Boston.com, "she is well-liked in political circles" and "would be an attractive candidate to succeed her husband."

Of course, those decisions are still a ways away. We imagine that for now, both Joan and Vicki are in mourning, remembering Sen. Kennedy for what he represented most to them: a husband.

College Student Health Insurances

Health insurance is insurance that pays for medical expenses. It is sometimes used more broadly to include insurance covering disability or long-term nursing or custodial care needs. It may be provided through a government-sponsored social insurance program, or from private insurance companies. It may be purchased on a group basis (e.g., by a firm to cover its employees) or purchased by individual consumers. In each case, the covered groups or individuals pay premiums or taxes to help protect themselves from high or unexpected healthcare expenses. Similar benefits paying for medical expenses may also be provided through social welfare programs funded by the government.

By estimating the overall risk of healthcare expenses, a routine finance structure (such as a monthly premium or annual tax) can be developed, ensuring that money is available to pay for the healthcare benefits specified in the insurance agreement. The benefit is administered by a central organization such as a government agency, private business, or not-for-profit entity.
